EXHIBITION AT BUILD HQ

In a rare opportunity, Build HQ invited and hosted an exhibition of Sreenag's commercial architectural photography. As Build HQ is an exhibition space for building materials, based in Chennai, the exhibition featured photos of projects either designed by the city's architects & designers or were projects built in the city. The exhibition served as a soft-launch of the space as a congregation space for people in Chennai's architecture & interiors community.

The workshop was an in-depth look into Sreenag's architectural photography process - from the client's brief, right upto the edit of the images. This segment of the workshop was followed by a group critique session and a Q&A.

An extremely interactive talk with the students of Hindustan's architecture department, Sreenag talked about the importance of light in architecture photography and how the genre has continued to rapidly evolve and grow over the years.

This online workshop was extremely well-attended, with over 150 participants. Sreenag presented an in-depth look into his process for each shoot - from the client's brief, right upto the edit of the images.

Sreenag was presented with a great opportunity to speak at the World Architecture Festival's 2020 edition. He spoke about planning an architectural photography shoot, with a focus on one particular project for KSM Architecture.

​A great way to cap off a year filled with workshops, is with another workshop for KAPA. The students were mainly interested in advertising and fashion photography, but were perceptive and interested in the nuances that form an architecture photograph. The workshop was targeted at understanding the approach to a shoot, what to look out for during the planning stage, and ended with a very interactive Q&A session.

On the 17th & 18th of September 2019, Sreenag taught a two-day photography workshop at V-SPARC, the School of Architecture at the Vellore Institute of Technology.

​The workshop centred around basic photography techniques, the nuances of planning and architecture photography shoot and real-world usage of photography in the practice of architecture.

LET'S TALK DESIGN

On 13th July 2019, Sreenag spoke at the monthly talks by Let's Talk Design. The talk focused on creating the mood in an architectural photograph, followed by a Q&A session.
The talk was hosted by Shreya Nagarajan Singh | Arts Development Consultancy, at their events space in Chennai.

Sreenag taught a workshop on Architectural Photography as part of the Skill Development Week at Chennai Photo Biennale 2019. It was a great experience, that was very well-received by a diverse group of architecture students and art students as well. The workshop focussed on the nuances on the intense planning that goes into the execution of an architecture photo shoot, followed by a guided photo walk.

INDIA ARCH DIALOGUE 2018

A few of our photos were chosen to be exhibited at India Arch Dialogue 2018, in New Delhi. IAD 2018 is an event that brings together accomplished architects, designers, artists and photographers from around the world, for talks, workshops, book launches movie screenings and an architecture photography exhibition.

A group photo to mark the completion of the children's photography workshop, I conducted at Tattvaloka, as part of their EPIC Children's Summer Camp.
The kids were fast learners and asked insightful questions from before my talk to them began. After they were taught the basics of photography and composition, they were asked to take photos at home and submit them, as one photo from each child would be displayed as part of a mini exhibition.
SOLO PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Sreenag held his first photography exhibition in July 2006.
The work on display represented his more experimental work, playing with textures, multiple exposure, print mediums. At a time when the use of Photoshop to manipulate photos was rare, this exhibition provided something different to the viewer.
